A Tour of the Flowering Plants: Based on the Classification System of the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group
Text and photographs by Priscilla Spears
This book gives the higher levels of flowering plant classification, according to a recently developed system that is widely used in academia. It shows the structures and describes characteristics that delineate 111 families of flowering plants from temperate North America. There are over 800 color photographs, which make it attractive to browsers. It includes a useable system of orders and larger groupings. The common names are included for the genera of each family. Elementary children will enjoy the pictures. Secondary level students can dig deeper into the information. For more information see the brochure. To order, see MBG Press or Amazon.com.
